Paste is placed in the mouth and chewed. Also used in betel quid.

PROCESSING / MANUFACTURING:

Tobacco leaves are processed by removing their stalks and stems, then boiled and soaked in water flavored with spices and additives. The resulting pulp is mashed, strained, and dried into a paste.
